ECONOMIC SECURITY For THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY

LGBTQ people in this country have the same worries as others when it comes to finding good jobs and saving for the future. Yet, research has shown us that LGBTQ people and their families are more likely to struggle economically, experience higher rates of poverty and food insecurity. Let's not forget the discrimination LGBTQ people continue to face in many aspects of daily life which includes at school, which may affect a students education; at the workplace which can result in unemployment or lower wages; and when searching for homes, which can result in instability—all contribute to this economic insecurity.

I can say that some companies are becoming more accepting of people's lifestyle (within meaning). YET, what else could be done to make people feel more secure in their jobs, education and personal life including finances?
